Granada Hills is a beautiful suburb in the northern part of the San Fernando Valley. The area has many nice outdoor areas, including an event every Wednesday and Friday where food trucks gather from 5-10 pm along Chatsworth, starting at Zelzah. Granada Hills has an excellent school system, with many of its students attending Granada Hills Charter High School rated amongst the highest in the region and winner of the national academic decathlon for three years 2011-2013! . Also home to O'Melveny Park, the second largest park in Los Angeles, is located in the northern end of Granada Hills. The park has a large undeveloped area, along with plenty of hiking trails and picnic areas. Filming is sporadic, but a large amount of the show My Name is Earl was filmed in Granada Hills. Granada Hills has great shopping and dining. Homes can be moderate in price to expensive estates. The area is also home to Knollwood Country Club and Golf Course with adjoining homes.
